Four reasons to hate Apple.

  • Once apple releases a newer version of your iOS device, your device will become obsolete (and you can’t update to a newer iOS version).

  • Apple has lousy free customer service.  They just tell you to reset your device no matter the question; if you want real service you have to pay for One to One, which is $100.00/ year, and it only tells you about some things.  TechTalk 101 has a full tour of your Apple computer for just $7.50 and a full tour of your iOS device for just $3.00.

  • Apple is very overpriced.  For example, Mac Pro starts at $2,999.00.  If you build your own with all the same hardware you can get it for $2,000.00. That means that Apple makes almost $1,000 on one computer.

  • iOS devices break way too easily and if you want to replace the cracked screen it’s â…” the cost of the device originally

Eight reasons why Microsoft should get a life.

  • The Microsoft store did not even try to be different from the Apple store.  They copied everything, from the tables to the name tags, although they don’t have personnel waiting for you at the entrance.

  • the Surface Pro 3 looks like garbage compared to the MacBook Air

  • Microsoft office with OneNote, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is $150 and if you want Outlook in the package you need to pay an extra $100. Microsoft needs to sort out their software prices.

  • Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser is stuck in old times here are a few examples of why:

  • It has terrible coding and is much slower than Google Chrome (Chrome loads URLs in approximately 0.4 seconds and IE loads in approximately 0.6 seconds)

  • Just because it looks modern doesn’t mean that it is a good browser

  • The default search engine is Bing, which no one uses.  It is very confusing how to change the search engine. How to Change the Default Search Engine in Internet Explorer 11

  • Unlike Apple, Microsoft doesn’t let customers update to newer operating systems for free.  Instead, you have to buy a disc of the new operating system that is $150-200 per copy (only one computer)
